I was never really a web designer.
The domain says design, and that part’s true — just not pixels. For ten years I’ve designed the thing you never notice when a home runs well: the operating system behind it. The vendors, the staff, the standards, the calendar, the discretion. I design people’s lives — and then I write them down, so they keep running without me in the room.
I’m Rachel Kline. I’ve been the person families and founders hand the keys to. Now I take the same eye that made me good at running households and turn it on the systems themselves — so a great hire inherits a manual, not a mystery. Soft on the surface; a steel spine of standards underneath.
How I work

Everything documented, nothing announced
A well-run house is quiet. I write down how it runs — who to call, what the standard is, what happens when I’m away — so the home never lives in one person’s head.

Discretion is the whole job
Not a clause at the bottom of a contract. NDAs, references, and quiet competence are the baseline — and I don’t talk about who I work with. That’s the point.

Built to run without me
The best system outlasts the person who built it. If a home only works when I’m standing in it, I haven’t finished — I’ve just made myself necessary.
